Unfortunately, after being a park ranger for 16 years, I can imagine that, and much worse. trash in the fire ring.. 'stuff' left in the yard. things drained out on the ground that make you WISH they would just drain the gray tank at a tree. kids and dogs roaming at will, dogs sicced on the ranger (the only times I have ever put my hand on my side arm are when the dog is within striking distance... the comment "SURE hope the dog don't bite me" with the holster unsnapped and the right hand firm around the grip is garunteed to get instant results).
It all boils down to "nobody in this campground matters as much as me and how I wsh to have a good time"
The names I got called because I diligently tried to assure EVERYONE at my parks had a chance at that good time. sigh.
Now I just have to put up with campgrounds where despite the rules, I always wind up with the seasonal long term campers who think all those rules are for someone else. Doesn't help that the owner stuffed me between the basketball court and the kiddie playground. watching the b-ball kids intentionally bash my windchimes was precious the other day! grr

Sounds like GC's are turning into Urban War Zones. Maybe I should re-think this retirement plan. The water hog and I would have had a great time. I "TRY" to be a calm and reasonable person, but when someone gets in my face the New Yorker in me comes to the surface (even though I left the "Home Land" 37 years ago). I have to wonder if the water hog knew he had a water tank and pump or if the pump was broken. But if he had a problem he could of a least been civil and discussed it with you. I agree with Ginny (Kdeiss) some people just have to be in control, even when they haven't a clue as to how something should work.

Dennis, it's only about 1 percent of the people that cause the problems, just like in life! Don't give up your retirement plan because of a few stinkers. You'll encounter many more jewels.

Grrrrr!! Well had my first experience a few minutes ago, RV pulled in behind us opened the door and two dogs came barreling out running all over the place, our door is open they came right up barking and my kookie came unglued, I thought he had broke his neck when he ran right into the screen door at full speed. The owner stood in the middle of the road and called them back. With in 10 minutes they were back doing the same thing. Walt was just sitting on the step after taking Kookie out for his afternoon walk (ON LEASH) and they ran over here barking and growling at him. Well I am trying to hold my temper.
