Thanks for the reply. I was pretty sure that was the case. I know that was the case with my 1997 Hitchhiker II, just wasn’t sure about the Monty, since we just got it Dec of last year.

I thought the same and everything when tested indicated that was the case. I have a 2007 Ram 6.7 3500, the bumper connector and the one I have installed in the bed tested out just fine for voltage and the level up panel showed just fine. But the 5er battery was so dead that it was No go until it was brought to an acceptable level itself.

I think this is typical. My understanding is the level up and slides create a high amp draw. The wiring from the tv and converter is not large enough to handle it and the battery needs enough charge to carry the load.
