Try heating it with a hair dryer. Should peal off nice afterward.

Back in the day I had 5 tractor trailer trucks. All our tires were bar coded for warranty issues. They could track each tire back to date of manufacture all the way up to the day it was sold. We also recorded the numbers and tracked how long each tire lasted. Believe it or not we could get 300,000 miles on drive tires. You tend to forget when and where you bought them after several years of running. So my guess is that these ugly white barcodes are your serial numbers for any future claims.
I agree. They should be on the inside. You should have to even ask that if you are a qualified installer.

Yep...I mentioned to the America's Tire manager that at their next "team meeting" or training session, he might want to bring up this topic for future reference!

Mike,
A little black spray paint will fix you right up.

Yeah, I was thinking of maybe a bit of satin black would match the tire pretty well.
It would certainly be a lot less prominent than the white tags! Gonna try the heat gun removal trick...
Really did NOT want to have to take the trailer back and have them flip the tires on the rims!

Sorry, in the future I will try to post only issues and problems of a more serious nature.

So, my new 2021 3121RL came with that feature too (sure didn't order it though). Thought I would reach out to the source for method of removal and I got this reply from the US distributor (spoiler alert - don't bother to read if you're looking for a constructive answer) :
"Rip,
Commercial Department has finally received a response and it seems that these tires are shipped by the manufacturer with this sticker on it. There is no issue with the removal but any methods to remove should not include applying any heat source or puncturing/cutting the outside rubber of the tire, nor the use of any chemical cleaner/solvent either, as it could damage the rubber.
Thank you for your patience,

Vulcanized tire labels are a type of bead barcode label that are applied to the bead of a tire prior to vulcanization. The label withstands the vulcanization process and remains attached to the tire.
Tire specific details such as date of manufacture, safety and performance ratings, etc. can be tracked using the barcode.
Additionally, tire vulcanization labels can function post manufacture. Some automated tread label systems source information from the barcode as tires pass integrated scanners—accessing variable data necessary to print the tread label.
