AC Acting up

Main AC is acting up.

When the out side temperature is above 80, all is fine.

Situation: Outside temp 73, thermostat set at 70. Rear heat pump 15K Dometic unit will not shut off. Air flow is 1/3 of what it should be.

Kinda indicates maybe a freeze up. shut it off for an hour and it is ok for a while. Or next day, when it is hot, it's ok.

Thoughts?

If the return air isn't blocked in some way and if the filters are clean then the trick is, when the humidity is high and the outside temp isn't that great, run the fan on high to keep things from freezing up.

Try removing all of the louvered covers from the air outlets in the ceiling. It definitely sounds like an airflow issue. I replaced all of ours in our 3811MS with ones like these.

https://dwincorp.com/product/jet-str...ed-rv-ac-vent/

It made a huge difference in the airflow & no more freeze ups. I did have to cut the holes in the ceiling out a little bit, but it was an easy job. I traced the outline of the new vents on the ceiling, being careful to make sure I stayed with ing the ducts. Used a battery powered jigsaw to make the cut while the wife held the vacuum cleaner close to suck up as much of the debris as possible.

AC Issue

I did this write up last year. Not sure if you will find it helpful or not.
