2021 3791RD Pantry issue/question

The pantry seems to be over the hot water heater which in turn makes the pantry warm. The panty being warm is no big deal for canned goods but bread, tortillas, etc. seem to think it is great for spoiling. Now I could leave the door party open when we are parked or....

I have been wondering about cutting a small vent into the bottom and top of the door to let heat out and create a natural updraft flow through.

What think you all?

Vents are an idea. What about putting insulation on floor and walls in the lower space?

If it's anything like ours, you have a kick panel at the bottom of the pantry. Behind it is the water heater and furnace. The cavity opens into the basement.
There is a 120vac receptacle next to the water heater. You could plug in a small fan to blow the hot air away into the basement.

This an interesting idea. If I used a 12v muffin fan, like off a computer, that would throw some of the heat off. I think my only concern there would be that we have the outdoor kitchen option which means 2 small refers in the basement that are also adding some heat down there. in the winter this would be awesome, just not sure about the summer.
