2020 295RL Wiring (up front next to batteries)

Hello all! I was adding a TPMS system repeater up front, and had removed a couple of wires to find the best spot for the hot wire on the repeater to mount to. Finally got a good spot and all is well.

However, I noticed that there is one wire just hanging out. It is black with a red stripe that comes from the bundle of wires coming under the basement. It has a large ring connector, so I really don't think I removed it as I was only dealing with small posts. Anyway, I was wondering if someone with a 295RL could take a picture like I am posting that shows where that wire is supposed to connect. Or, is it an extra for future use?

I can't help with your issue but I am amazed Montana now uses 4 self-resetting circuit breakers. Yuck!

bubbapk1,

I have a 2020 295RL ... I'll bet that is the ground wire for your solar prep,

Full disclosure ... I'm just guessing.

I have a 2020 294RL and the black/red striped wire in my front compartment was for the solar prep. I've since installed solar on our trailer and know this for sure.

This is a down-load, PDF of the Keystone Wiring Color Codes from their web site.

Looks like the red and black wire are for generators, to power Generator Fuel Tank Level, or the Fuel Station Tank Level.

Click here to download just the PDF

Click here to go to the Keystone page where the PDF can be downloaded

Hope this helps.

Also, watch the video on the page too. - I think it's helpful.
