Valve stems

Looking into a TPMS. Anyone know what the standard valve stem on the 2021 Montana HC 295RL is made of? My understanding that a rubber stem cannot take a pass thru monitoring unit.

Assuming your rims are rated for 110psi, the valve stems will be metal.

My 2020 295RL has metal valve stems.

There are metal then there are metal with rubber exteriors and are still pull through. You want all metal and what are known as clamp in and should look like this. The rubber covered metal pull through can and will fail with a TPS mounted on the end as I found out. Mine now have these from Milton

I have been looking for metal valve stems to replaced the hybrid / metal rubber stems on wheels now to put TPMS sensors on. In looking at the max air pressure spec's of the Tr-416 metal value stems from Milton and many others, the max air pressure rating ranges from 80 to 100 PSI (including Milton). The only metal TR-416 clamp style valve stems I found rated above 100 PSI is the Dill and /or Americana from E-trailer (130 - 200 PSI). There are many metal 1" to 1.5" valve stems on the market, I just haven't found many with associated specifications to be sure what their max pressure rating is.

I run the TireMinder and they have brass or aluminum sensors depending on the valve stem metal used. Anyone know if the smetal stems are stainless steel, steel, or aluminum?
