Satellite Cable Routing

After learning the hard way, I need to run a direct satellite cable to the roof for my Winegard G3. After almost two months, working with our dealer and DirecTV, we were unable to get this unit to work. I can finally, repeatably, get it to work. The key is running a direct line from the MultiSwitch/Power Inserter to the dish. Right now I have it off the roof. I need to run the cable from the back bottom corner of the TV slide to the roof. The two ways I am considering is under the coroplast and up to the camera and across the roof or tie wrapped to the ladder. Thought maybe someone had a better way to the roof.

Out of curiosity, did you remove the splitter and make it a direct through connection?

No need to cut any holes. Take the drawer out of the entertainment center and you'll see all the wires including 110V. The wall plates in the A/V cabinet are screwed to the wall, no boxes.
I hooked the stock coax to a new long one that would reach where I wanted, and pulled it out the bottom through the factory hole in the bottom corner of the slide. Slicker than a whistle!

Tycham, yes, it is a direct run from the G3 to the power inserter. Even connecting it the short distance from the convenience center to the power inserter with a single barrel connector did not work.
