I have conflicting feelings on this. I have asthma and have been told that the injection could be fatal for me. Then I sat through a presentation by a biochemist that stated that this is not really a vaccine but rather an injection that has not been vetted to the extent that it should be. A vaccine contains a small portion of the covid in order to build up the bodies immunity but this does not. It is also not FDA approved. They also can not tell what the long term effects of the injection will be. This all from a person that has been studying it and a lot smarter than me. Then I read the statistics stated above! They are great arguments for getting it. My mother is in a nursing home and contracted it at 95 years young. She had symptoms 1, yes one, day and was over it. THEN she got the two shots. Oh well.???? I have taken a regimen of vitamins for years (also recommended by the biochemist in her presentation) and don’t ever get the flu. Never a flu shot either. Still debating.

San Joaquin County, California offered the Moderna vaccines for veterans 65 and older, so wife and I got ours, Jan. 30 and Feb. 27. No issues other than soreness at injection site. We’re ready to hit the road again!

I got the Moderna shot. Glad I did it. Hope it works as advertised. I have seen far too many deaths during this pandemic. Pretty sad stuff.

DW and I got our 2nd Moderna shot Tuesday April 6 at 9:30 am.
My poor DW was hurting head to toe with light fever by noon.
My arm felt like it got “frogged”...something we thought was funny in the 7th grade - to go hit your buddy on the bicep, holler “frog” and run like hell. It was funny in 1967...not so much now.
DW basically had “the flu” - light fever and hurtin all over for 48 hrs. She started felling better at noon today...but truth be known...she has has similar reactions to some other vaccines.
I felt feverish the first day, took a nap, and it’s over. Very thankful for Operation Warp Speed and glad we got the shots.

We got our second shot April 1. Like the first one, we both had a sore arm for 2 days and that was it.

We got both of our second shots. Sore arm headache, general feeling of being off.

The good news is now I can turn off/on and change channels on TV with just pointing my finger

We got the J&J at Savemart. Walked in, one shot, done in 10 minutes. We got a little tired for a day after. I'm not so concerned about the virus as to let it run my life. The only reason I took it is for air travel especially to Hawaii. They have testing requirements that are unreasonable and having the vac might help.
