Thetford toilet !!

I have a Thetford Aqua-Magic Style II RV Toilet, High, Bone, 42062. Tank would not hold water. If I turned the top clockwise and the base would stay still, it would hold water for awhile, then go back.
I ordered a new waste ball kit. Replaced all the new parts and it is leaking worse. I think my problem is with the 4 locking tabs. If I take the 2 locking screws out I can turn the bowl more but then I cannot put the locking screws back. Has anybody had this problem and/or fixes?

Do as I and mny others did and junk the Thetford and install a Dometic 320 in it's place.

Years ago, on our 2010 I did everything you did and even had Tetford replace the toilet under warranty. Finally junked it and installed a Dometic 310 (320 wouldn't fit on that model) Since then we've had the Tetford removed and a Dometic installed before we took the new rig off the lot.
