RV Cameras

Does anyone have knowledge or experience with the Tadi Brothers Wireless RV camera systems? I am looking at investing in this camera system and would like more input. We talked to a guy here in the RV park who has this system and he raves about the quality. I would like more than 1 persons input.

https://www.tadibrothers.com/product...-camera-system

Thanks

Hopefully Drifty1 will comment (or PM him) as he has the Tadi system. He started wireless and subsequently went to hardwired (I know as I helped him run the coax).

Thanks

Thank you for the info. I will try to contact him.

Do you now why he moved to wired over wireless?

I've dealt with Tadi Brothers. They are very fine people to deal with. I ordered a backup camera then needed better transmitter and receiver, no charge. Then I called and ordered a 35 foot extension cable and again no charge. Then I broke one of the antennas. I told them I broke it but again no charge.

As with tire monitors, backup camera's frequently need either a repeater or being hard wired to get the signal over the 50 some feet from the back of the rig to the dashboard of the truck.

Frequent signal loss.

I have the Tadi Bros equipment and if I was going to do it over again I would buy parts off Amazon for about a $100 and build my own system. I had to send back the first monitor from the kit because the s video plugs were so cheap that they would not stay together. And they acted like they did not know where the s video plug was located in their system. As for wireless I would not get a stable signal and it was very snowy. But I also have a lot of wireless control in my trailer so that might cause some problems. I am going to replace the RCA video cable with a coax sometime in the near future and hopefully that will make a better plug in connection at my pin box. I hope this helps. Any other questions just ask.

Thanks everyone who responded. It sounds like I have another decision to make. I have plenty time - the 5er goes in the shop on Tuesday.
