New to us Montana
After posting a couple of times, I figure I better introduce myself. I'm an active duty military member with 24 years TIS. HH6 and I are waiting for our youngest to graduate HS before we officially retire. Back in Sep 14, we purchased a used 2012 3750FL. I showed HH6 one a couple of years ago as a lark, thinking because it was different that she wouldn't like it. Boy, was I wrong. She loves it and wouldn't want anything else. While it's a great rig, there are some upgrades I'd like to make in the future, which is why I'm looking on the forums for ideas.
Anyway, our goal is to fulltime and live off our retirement. We would love to work camp at some national parks along the way. Any suggestions and hints would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

First welcome to the forum. You'll find a great group of knowledgeable folks here ready and willing to help. There are plenty of us out here who both full time and work camp and would be happy to give your our opinion to any questions you ask. One way to get a feel for work camping with the federal agencies is to register with volunteer.gov That site lets you pick a state and then an agency and see what openings they have and what benefits they're offering. You can spend the time between now and when you're ready surfing what's out there and be ready to jump in when the time comes.

David,
I want to thank you and your family for your service, and welcome to the forum. If your schedule permits, hook up with one of the regional rallies, they are a lot of fun.

Welcome to the forum!
BTW what does HH6 stand for? Sounds like a Navy rating.
You'll like belonging to this group. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable folks.
Many here have enjoyed owning a 3750FL and will be an excellent resource for you.
Many prior service here as well so you're in good company.

Thank you all for the welcomes. I appreciate it. One day, as I gain more experience, I hope to be able to contribute and not just take away information.
PackerFan: Thank you for your service as well, Brother. Where did you get that cool signature?
CORattler: Around Vietnam time frame, the Army used "Hollywood" radio call signs consisting of the unit mascot with a number denoting the duty position. Six being the commander, five the executive officer, seven being the 1SG, etc. Example - if you want to talk to the commander of the A Co Assassins, you would call Assassin 6.
Any military man will tell you that their wife is the commander of their household. Hence the wife's call sign is HouseHold 6, or HH6.

David-- First of all "Thank you for your Service"! Also welcome to the MOC Forum. You will find out that this is the best informational site for the Montana line of rv's on the www. 7.3Ford gave you some good advice when he said to check out the Regional Rallies because that is a great way to meet other MOC members, make some really good friends and find out about things that we have done to our rigs to make them our own and a way to live our lifestyles. I'd like to invite you to attend the Central Plains Regional Rally (CPRR) what has been held for the past six year just north of you here in Nebraska. We have not set a date for sure yet nor where we will be holding it. We're thinking of changing locations but have not made that decision as if this date yet. Watch for posting by myself or the Kelpe's on this year's CPRR here on the Forum. We hope you will be able to meet you and HH6 this year at our Rally. IF you can't make it, consider the MOC Fall Rally held in September in Goshen, IN. Goshen is where the Montana's, High Country's and Big Sky's are manufactured and it's an excellent way to really learn how your unit was put together from the axle's up too! I'll send you a PM (Personal Message) incase you have any questions on either of the Rallies I've mentioned.
Take care and again WELCOME TO MOC!!
