High Country reviews?

Does anyone have any knowledge about the High Country Montanas? Our local dealer is listed as selling them, but stopped when they first came out because the interior was rather horrible in regards to the 'asthetic' values. So I don't even have anyplace to go look at them.
I did look at them when they first came out, and the flooring looked like it was very cheap and would scuff or tear without much effort.

He must not have looked at them for years, they have been out for 3 or 4 years now. We love ours, no issues after about 8000 miles of pulling and 60 nights. What part of the country are you in, maybe the great people on this forum can give you a suggestion on where to go to look. Don't know about the floors when they first came out, but the 2012 HC had the same carpet and flooring as the 2012 Montana, we looked at a 3750 that was identical in many facets, one of which was flooring. You can do a photo search and do a pretty good comparision on interiors.

We just purchased our 338DB in February. We haven't been able to actually camp in it yet (darn groundhog!!) :-( but we have been stocking it and "Making it our own." We looked at many SOB's and kept coming back to the High Country because of the fit and finish available in a lighter weight unit. We were originally going for either the 318RE or the 343RL, but our grandkids talked us into a rig with a bunkhouse. I find the interior to be nicer than anything else we looked at in this price and weight range, and there is a nice choice of layouts.

Thanks for the info. I live in Mesa, AZ. RV Traders is my dealer and they are very good (for service anyway). Keystone lists them as High Counter dealer, but they won't stock any - at least for now.

We live in ours fulltime (since 8/21012) and have had no problem with the interior or wear. Inf act, most people compliment the decor. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another -

we have a 2011 high country 323rl rear livining been to colorado south dakota, oklahoma with it have no problems love the interior and floor plan. wouldnt hesitate about another one.

I went back and looked at the quotes that we received while looking at pricing, one of the best prices I found was from LaMesa RV in Phoenix, I just checked their web site and they don't show any Montana's, except one High 2012 High Country and one Montana, both used I believe.

They are very nice. We sold 2 to one man, one for him, one for his son. People are very happy with them. They are not as nice as a Monty , yet they are nice. They are in the 10,000 wt range, to be towed with 3/4 tvs, that's the market share they are after. They have a reputation, so far. Like Mountaineer, they are aimed at a different market share. Both are less expensive than Montana. The H/C has Helium technology. Keystone says that helium is trapped in the laminated materials , therefore it is lighter, thy have their own website. Comparing similar floor plans, equity, etc, they are about 20% lower in price than Montana. They also have floor plans that accommodate more people, bunkhouses. IMHO, a great competitive unit , just not as well appointed as Monty. Apples and Oranges. All the Montana lines, IMHO, are more for the money , when compared to all SOBs . They make my part time job easier.

Hello everyone, We own a 2011 323 High country. Not our first Montana. We love our Montana. Just returned from our winter retreat, In Texas, Gulf shores Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, and south Carolina. We live in Wisconsin. This Rv has proven its quality. Our only bitch is the tires. Ordered 4 new Michelin tires. Hope we see you all at the MOC rally.

There are even a few models on the website that have 360 degree views. It looks like a very nice rig and some great floor plans. As Larry (Hook) stated they are light weight models and allow for easier towing than some higher end types. Good Luck on your choice.
