Goodrich tires

Took my Goodrich tires for the Monty to have them balanced. The owner of Discount Tire told me he could replace the tires because of the recall. I told him I knew of the recall but the numbers did no match the recall numbers. He told me he was allowed to stretch the numbers because Goodrich wanted to make sure all of them were out of the system so I got 4 new Michelin MS2 tires mounted and balanced at no cost. What a blessing.

How old were the tires he replaced? Mine were installed way before the recall and have about 20k miles on them, but if they are stretching the recall I'd take a new set of Michelins. Jim

We are scheduled to have our original tires replaced on Monday because we are worried about blowouts. We have a 2012 less then one year old. Who should we contact about the recall and replacement tires. It would be nice not to have to pay the $1500.00 for new ones on Monday

The michelins are MS2 235/80R16 load range E I bought the Goodrich tires July 2009I also had the choice of Yokahama but I went withe the Michelins since those are what I run on the Duramax different size and I have had very good service with them

They are the original tires. Have about 8,000 miles on them. We have a 3750fl Montana.

Thanks gitrdun. I put mine on 3/08 and have about 22k miles on them. Well outside the recall. Based on your experience I'm still going to get the numbers off of them and at least talk to my tire guy. Worst he can say is No! Jim

Bruce, The recall is by BF Goodrich not Montana/Keystone. I don't recall Montana's coming with Goodrich tires. But then I've been wrong more than once. Jim

Hi Maybe someone can help clarify which BFG's are on recall. I am about ready to order mine and wanted to go with what Lonnie the tire guy from NM, recommended which is 250 Duravis or 500 Duravis BFG. Does someone know if these are also a recall tire?
