Its ours!!!!!

Well we moved into our new to us 06 Montana 3000RK last nite. We bought it in Dallas and if you watched the news you know Texas got some major rain, flood is more like it. I think we got something like 5 inchs over night. The lot the dealer had us in had ankle deep water. But we managed to get our things transfered to the new rig. It'll take a week of sun to dry us out now lol lol. But it was a good thing I guess cause we got no leaks in the trailer, but the truck sprung a leak, one of the clearance lights was leaking. First impression now that we have slept in it is,,, we love it. The Alpenlite was put together better and seemed more house like in constuction but we still like the Montana. I have a few issues to work out but over all not bad, definitly more room. Gotta yank out these dinosaurs of TV's and put my flat screens in. Also needs a new surround sound receiver to get the sound system straightened out. I also think that pressure valve is acting up cause I hear a screeching noise coming from the shower wall when I have the black tank flush on. And when we get it home I'll be shopping around for some BF Goodrich's to replace these Marathons. But I'm sure I will have questions pop up in the future.

Welcome... There will be some kinks here and there but you will get them worked out. We also purschased a used model about a year ago. We replaced the old style TV in the bedroom. There are many on the moc who have done so and pictures to show the upgrade. Do a search and they should come up. We replaced the Marathons with the Goodrich and are 100% pleased. I think some have actually gotten credit for the Marathon's from the mfg so you may want to look into that. Again good luck on your purschase and enjoy!

Congratulations on your new Montana!
Sounds like you've already got a good plan to make it yours & bring it up to your standards.
This is a great place to learn all about the rig and fixes/mods if you need them.

We sat in about 5 inchesof water for a couple of days in Fort Lauderdale. No harm to the coach, just a soggy trek to the car and back .. all part of the adventure.

Welcome. The screech you are hearing when flushing the black tank is pretty typical - some are quieter than others but all make some noise. It is the back-flow preventer.
