Thin Trailer Life

Have you noticed how thin the Trailer Life magazine is? We are thinking about not renewing. We've subscribed for over 20 years but there doesn't seem to be much to it anymore. Half of the pages are ads.
Happy trails..................

I have C to C and their magazine is only about a 1/10 the size it use to be. I guess the economy is hitting them hard to.

If I remember right, TL has a full mag on line. Could be wrong, but I thought they sent info out about doing that.

I will continue the subscription. If we don't support Trailer Life in hard times, there will be no magazine in the good times.Bill

With the advent of the internet, I heard 360 magazines went under in 2009. I didn't know there were that many out there!

I think in good or bad times, most paper subscriptions like newspapers or magazines have seen their better days. Fortunately, many of the ones I've read are still there but are much thinner and who knows for how much longer. The ones that also provide links to their websites will fair better I fear. The only ones that seem to do best are the gossip, reality or provocative ones.

I let my subscription expire this year. Over the years the mag kept getting smaller and smaller. It's not all magazines are smaller as my "Passage Maker" (trawler/boating) is the same size as 8-10 years ago.

The RV industry is a little thinner. Manufacturers and suppliers advertise, that cost money. Advertising supplements the cost of the magazine. I think as things pick up as predicted, the magazine will get a little thicker.

I assume that the tough times would make it a little hard on magazines like this. I noticed that Highways is a little thin too.

Rich, agree but since we are life members of Good Sam, we don't have to subscribe to Highways.
Steve, I'm pretty sure the on line of TL is only available if you have a current subscription. We will see when we let our subscription lapse if we still get the on line version.
To all thank you for responding about Trailer Life inquiry.

Happy trails..........................

Don't forget the same outfit that owns Good Sam also owns TL. I understand they are under severe financial pressure.
