"Then Came Christmas"

I wrote this a few years back when I was a freshman in high school.
I’ll try and relate it from memory the best I can.

“Then Came Christmas”

During the year
You will always hear
A child wanting a gift
Just to give him a lift
And at Christmas when there is a tree
Under it the gifts he will see
He will never fail to see a toy
But when his heart would fill with Joy
Is it a gift he received because
There is a Santa-Clause
Or is it Love he did learn
From someone who gave concern
Does he know or does he not know
Why his precious gift was so
And at the birth of Christ
The gift God gave
Had no price

Billy Turner

Merry Christmas Everyone!
