3255RL Pin weight

I'm looking for "real world" pin weights for the 3255RL. Can you help a brother out?

If you use 20% of the loaded GW, you'll be in the ball park.

There is no one standard number, because this will vary from rig to rig depending on your cargo. The only real world pin weight is what is measured when you take your TV and RV to a scale.

The easiest way to do this is with the following procedure:

1. Weigh only the truck wheels on the scale but with the Monty wheels not on the scale.
2. Then unhitch the RV and weigh the truck by itself.

The pin weight is #1 minus #2.

Admittedly, I submitted a topic to the forum on a device that is designed just to measure pin weight, but I think ALL of us agreed that it was impractical and too expensive, compared to using a public scale. Most scales charge just a few dollars to weigh do what I described above.

Thanks for the replies but what I was interested in was the actual pin weight of someone's rig. I understand that YMMV but I was curious.

I have a 2006 3500RL and last time I was at a scale my pin weight was calculated at 2520 lbs or 22% of my Monty's GVW.
