Mother is with the Lord

Thursday evening my wonderful Mother joined my Daddy and my sister in heaven. What a celebration they must be having! She was a woman of great faith and since she had been in tremendous pain for many years and was 88, she was ready to "Go live with the Lord" - her comment to us several weeks ago. She is the only person I have ever known that lived her religion and faith truly every day of her life. While I shall miss her terribly, I know she is where she wants to be and is free from pain. Thanks goodness for my four wonderful daughters and for Ed as we deal with all the things that must be done now. We have lots of family coming from Kansas, Missouri, Arizona, and Washington DC. (We had to order 2 extra limos to accomodate just the family). She was so loved by so many. What a beautiful life she had. I am also thankful that I retired when I did instead of waiting until this month as I have had 9 months to be here everyday with her and to be with her this last two weeks when she was in the hospital and to hold her hand as she passed on. The Lord works in great ways and He knew I needed to be here.
Happy trails..........................(My Daddy's favorite song)

I am so sorry to hear of her passing. We just got the news Thursday that our best friend in Ca. had stage 4 cancer, then when we came home from dinner on Friday we had another message that she passed at noon on Friday. Such a sad thing, but as the song goes, "Don't miss me for I am in a better place then you"! Rejoice in the Lord. He does have a better place prepared for us.

What a wonderful testimony of your mother's life and legacy, Sue. Faith is never so wonderful as when a loved one moves on to their heavenly reward. May you feel the Lord's comfort during these days of sadness.

Lorraine and I wish to extend our sympathy and prayers to your entire family during this time of loss. Lorraine went through the same situation just 5 weeks ago and we understand the stress that such a loss can create. As Lorraine's 4 year old niece put it when told of her grandmothers passing, "I guess God needed another angel".

Betty and I send our condolences with the loss of your mother. Your note points out how special and loved she was. I know you will miss her but she is in a better place. I too had the privilege of caring for my mom and dad and being with them when they passed. I, like you, was so glad I was with them at that time and help them to pass on to that better place. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers

Sue, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Cheryl's Dad and Mom passed away withing 5 weeks. Sounds like your Mother touched a lot of lives in a very positive way while she was here. God should be very pleased with that. It should be everyone's goal in life.

Sue, You and your family have our sincere sympathy. I lost both my parents in one year, so I can empathize with your grief at this time. It must be a great consolation to know that your mother was ready and welcomed the transition. God bless.

Sue & Ed,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. As so many on this thread, we too can empathize with you. If knowing you is any indication of the kind of person your mother was, it is no surprise she has touched so many lives in such a wonderful way. You were blessed indeed to be able to spend so much time with her in the past months. Knowing her faith in God will have ensured that she is with God and family must surely be a wonderful comfort to you. Take care. and God bless.
