New Bedspread Ruined

It was time to take the bedspread in to the dry cleaners. The DW went to pick it up today and they apologized all over themselves but
one of their machines "shredded" the lining completely apart!

This is a very good dry cleaners so we were wondering if these bedspreads that come standard in the newer Montana's are possibly cheaply made, or was it just a problem with the equipment at the dry cleaners.

They are mailing us a $125.00 check this afternoon so all is good. Just never experienced this before.

Have not heard of that happening before, but glad you had a dry cleaner that would remedy the situation.

We weren't impressed with ours but never cleaned it. We gave it away to a family whose home burned. Glad the dry cleaner stepped up for you.

My vote is in the cheaply made camp. Too bad it happened. John

DW has washed the cover from our 2013 several times with no issues. She has redecorated now and the original is put away.

Poor quality. You actually will be ahead on this one as soon as you get the check. DW just "retired" ours and replaced it.

DW replaced the very dark bed spread, which gave the entire bedroom a funeral home look, a week after we picked up the new unit. Hopefully the Montana interior decorating engineers, at the rally, took her "hint" about brightening up the bedroom decor.

At first the DW was pretty upset about it, but now with the $125 coming she is starting to think is was time to "lighten" up the
bedroom anyway. I never did think it looked that great.

Our original bedspread is in storage. Since we now fulltime, DW wanted to use some of our own personal items so we now use a bedspread we bought in Ohio. There was an Amish community outside of Cleveland and we found a nice bedspread. I don't remember what we paid but I'm sure it would have been more than the original Monty bedspread (which I think is cheaply made, but more expensive than it should have been).

I think $125 is a fair enough price even though the original has a custom fit with radiused corners. Even though ANYTHING that has the letters RV will cause an overpricing, it's nice that the cleaner admitted their mistake and tried to make some kind of restitution. Bottom line is, if you are content with the settlement that's mostly what counts and I'd be happy with what happened here.

Now if a cleaner destroyed our Amish cover, well then...

Our bedspread on our 2014 isn't very good. The thread came loose within the first year. I think you did well on getting $125.00. I think we will take our bedspread in and get it cleaned and see what happens.

The one we have seems to be cheaply made. Never used, we put it right in storage until we sell or trade in.

Getting rid of the factory bedspread was the first things Sue did upon bringing the unit home. She decorates a lot better then the factory does!

We took ours off as soon as we purchased our rig. Will save it until we sell our trailer and give up rv'ing.
