Air ride hitches ?
We were going to purchase an Airborne hitch or Morryde but then our dealer suggested the Demco Glide. He had customers that had tried Morryde and came back and bought the Demco. Anyone have any information? Thanks Pathfinder

Sounds like a sales pitch made by a guy selling Demco.
Many have the Airborne and Morride and are happy with them, so I would weigh the cost-benefit options on all three, not discounting the first two. I have and like my system with 2 air-bags for vertical cushion and the rubber suspension system for lateral 'chucking' relief. The Montana just 'floats' behind the truck.
Go to the web-sites of your choices and compare them.
Good luck.

pathfinder, I have the MorRyde hitch pin box and a TrailerSaver Air Ride Hitch in the truck. Rides like a dream, not cheap but well worth it to me. We wanted to increase the longevity of our unit and I think this is the answer. Of course, there are other great units out there also. Ask around, get many opinions, then check the wallet and decide. Most will say they have the best combination available, no one will admit they paid a lot of money for a piece of junk. I just feel that any air system will give you a good ride. If you have a "Rigid Hitch Pin and a Rigid hitch, those are a lot of forces working against the frame of your trailer. We have made our trailer our full time home and wanted to increase chances of longevity.
If you use it only ocassionally you might not want to spend the money for a great setup......

Ozz-- What do you mean by rubber suspension system for lateral "chucking" relief? I may be missing something here!

Like exav8tr, we have the Trailer Saver Air Ride hitch. The reason we have it is not only for comfort while driving (highway pounding is minimized) but it helps prevent structural damage to the Montana. As was stated, it costs more than an ordinary hitch, but you get what you pay for.

I was talking about the Mor/ryde system. I got Stiles' old pin box trailer attachment from his Big Sky, then found out the rubber was too rigid, it was designed for the heaver trailer, so I ordered a proper rubber shock absorber for want of a better word, and installed it, or changed it out.

Same here. I'd get the one with the best deal...they all work.
