Help from Keystone/Lippert?
OK, insiders, what is the best way to get help from Keystone.
My 2005 3499RL has a frame problem in front. The closet wall is bowing out and the closet floor is rising 1.2 inches when hooked up. Its at the dealer in Newport News, VA (Dixie). They are really trying to help, but so far, I am lead to believe Keystone and Lippert are not interested.
Is there a trigger to turn them on?

I see you have had no responses but will try to help, I have had no related experience with these frames. I have noticed there is a lot of questions and concerns on the Forum of www.rv.net, so you may want to search and ask questions there. These fames are made for many manufactures and because of the age of the unit it may be best to let Keystone know and also try to work with the frame manufacture in a positive manner. Again, watching the speed that these RVs are manufactured there is bound to be areas that are poorly welded and maybe even missed. If a employee has a bad day, that normally shows in workmanship and quaility. In many cases there is likely very little quality inspection as this drives up productivity costs. Hope you can get yours repaired properly and yet at a reasonable cost. All the best.

I would write the CEO at Keystone asking for help, the age maybe a factor, but a letter should at least get you an answer

I would contact Rich Deisler (deislerr@keystonerv.com phone 574-537-3996), at Keystone. He is the Sales and Service Manager there. He got my rig into the service center and had them check for "frame flex" or seperation. I'm not sure if he can do anything outside of Goshen, but he should be able to help you. See my post under "Thanks Darrell". I sent him an e-mail on Sunday and he called me on Monday with an appointment at the service center. BTW I had no indication of any frame problems but did find out I was overweight and that IF the problem occurs in the future, they MAY not be responsible for repairs.
You should mention you are a member of this MOC. This seems to open some doors at Keystone. Just another perk of being a MOC member!!!!! Ya gotta love it.....

Please, so what you are saying is that we should all worry that if the employee has a bad day, the most important part of the trailer,"THE HITCH" may not be safe? and that Keystone, Montana and the frame manufactuers quality control is lacking so much that they might be unsafe to tow down the highway.???

racerjoe, This should not surprize you, the manufactor sets the standards, it is up to the employee to do the work and quality control to see it is met. A couple of years back somone who had toured the plant posted, said what a good job that they were doing as all the red flags they saw on the unit. To me that indicated they had problems. Yes I worry about the safety and that is why these posts are so important. It should make us aware of potential problems and check our units

Those little red tape markers on the units at the end of the line indicate flaws in the side walls, graphics, exterior fit and finish.

I just put my 2004 3670RL in the shop for what appears to be a frame flex/broken weld issue. The right front outside corner moulding that extends from the bottom of the front corner of the rig all the way to the front cap separates from the ouside wall about 1/8" when hooked to the truck. The corner moulding goes back to where it belongs when the trailer is back on the front landing gear. One more time for the extended warranty people. My policy covers all chassis welds. Best money I ever spent!
I will post with more info when the shop gets it apart and finds the problem.

richfaa, I wrote Mr. Deisler to try to find a place to repair my flex problem. The RV shop didn't have the facilities for the repair and suggested I contact Keystone/Montana. Thanks for the name and address!

Make sure you give him a E mail. He is good about replying. He took a look at what I thought might be frame flex at the Fall rally and he got me into the service center within a week.. It was not frame flex or a problem with the frame but the service center corrected the problem.
