GOOGLE your User ID???

A reply to another of my posts by Lije Baley got me to thinking and you all know that's dangerous, sometimes but not necessarily this time.

Has anyone GOOGLED their User ID just to see what pops up. Try it, it may be interesting.

A little hint when using a search engine. IF you are using multiple words or a phrase, place the words between "quotation marks". An example would be "Glenn and Lorraine" This forces the search engine to search out the words or phrase in order and not just the individual word.

BTW-Using Glenn and Lorraine did produce some links back to some of my stuff.

OMG I would never have thought to do that.. There are only 4,300 entries for richfaa some of them in the Federal register. My Government E mail is stll active... Big brother is here.. and he is called Internet..

I did a search for “bill-n-donna” and it returned about 4,180 of which are not all mine. Don’t have a clue as to how many are either. That would take a while to review.

Hmmm, I did my search of "art-n-marge" and got only 6 hits and they were all MOC based. Not bad. I'm happy with such a manageable number and there are no scary surprises.

But some of the information was in wierd places that I didn't expect, nor do I know why. But it's okay because as an MOC member, why not those places.

It was an fun exercise.

Apparently there are a lot of Icehouse things, places, bars, bands, etc. out there. I got well over 1,000,000 hits and never did find anything on us. That's ok by me. I don't like things being so darn accessible anyway.

Thanks Art, I really hate when I do that. 9 out of 10 times I preview a post and make sure everything works, this time I guess I was to darn sure of myself. I did correct it.

Awhile back I googled my real name. I don't think my last name is very common but there were seven others with my name out there. And when I googled my userid after reading this thread I found others using the same userid in other forums.
