Ford has great rebates

Ford has outstanding rebates on new trucks this weekend and we made the mistake of going to look at new trucks Saturday and of course bought a new one. It is a F-350 DRW King Ranch, a whole lot more truck than the F-250 was. We got $14,500 off the MSRP and traded the old truck in and got $1,000 over blue book for it.

Just one question for you dually owners, how do you check the rear tire pressure and add air. The valve stems on outside rear point in, do you use a 90 degree air chuck and gauge or what is available.

Don..on mine the stems were lined up one behind the other so I had the dealer trurn the outside dually 45%. Get a long "truckers" pressure guage and it is also nice if the wife has small hands . The prices are nice, there is one in our dealers show room just like mine sticker 56K price 41K...

Don,
The wheels are supposed to be 180 degrees opposite each other. The truckers tire gauge (get a good one) is the best to use in my opinion. I added stainless steel extensions on the inside valve. It will be difficult to find a mount to clip on the wide flanges of the outside, nice looking, chrome wheel, so I just let the extensions rest against that nice wide ridge. In 7500 miles I noticed no wear on the valve extension. Makes filling and checking a lot easier. Just keep an eye on the extension where it rests against the outside rim for any signs of wear. You will have plenty of viewable warning if you check your tires regularly.

I just traded my 2005 F350 KR, CC, LB, with 82000 miles, with Montana for an S.O.B.
The dealer sold it for 16K (If had known that I might have bought it back). You will really like the KR, it's a great vehicle.

On our 2008 F450 DRW I used the steel valve extensions and mounted them to the Chrome covered plastic covering which covers the lug nuts. They mounted real nice, they don't rub at all, and they haven't lost any air pressure in 12,000 miles.

Congratulations on that new truck Don!

CW world has some kind of extension for the inner wheel that is for MH with the same issue. I'm not sure if they are also intended for trucks or not, but I assume they are similar.

I am happy you went to the king ranch ,,, what color did you get and you have to use leather conditioner on the seats so don't wait 1 year as i did as its hard to get them back,, i just pour it on and rub it in with my hands its now ready but we are leaving now so it will have to wait till i don't need the truck for 2 days sailer

John, The truck is white. We had a choice of 3 colors, white, white, or white. I think dealers get a discount for ordering white trucks.

Did you look at the white trucks? They are nice.

Now you can get the Montana logo and mountains painted on the side to match the Montana.

We got the medium white. I didn't like the light white or dark white, just not my colors.
The truck is a long bed, CC, 4x4, DVD, and navigation, maybe I won't get lost now. If the truck was a little longer, I could start a limousine service. We can't tow yet, not enough miles on the truck, but the truck sure looks good parked in front of the Montana.

We would really like to attend the fall rally, but I am in the middle of a large remodeling project and can not leave it for 3 or 4 weeks. We will be definitely be there next.

John, It would be great to have your help, but I don't know if I can afford the price of diesel to have you come out here.
