B ack from Alaska-glad to be home

After being on the road for 9 weeks we are happy to be home.* We had a wonderful trip and meet alot of really neat people from all over the world, even fellow MOC'ers in Alaska Birdingrver.* We expected and prepared for something to happen to our Montana but she came through with flying colors.* Nothing broken, bent, smashed,or flattened. We even went through Chicken,Alaska, We will never again complain about the roads in the lower 48 again or the price of fuel. We put a total of 11,000 miles on her for a total of around 20,000.* The ties are now showing a littl wear so we will keep a close watch on them, they are tacomas.* Before our trip we put on a mor/ryde pin box and the RE suspension system.* The only sad part of our trip was leaving behind our truck, it developed major engine problems, so we left our 8.1 with only 73,000 on it in Anchorage and drove home a new 3500 DA LTZ long bed SRW.* We were hoping to be able to drive the other truck for a couple more years before upgrading to a diesel.* I just wanted to post this for anyone thinking about pulling their Montana to Alaska, go for it!* Again we had a blast and our Montana is now unloaded, cleaned up and put back in the barn waiting for our next adventure.* Happy camping, Stacy*

Bill and Stacy,

Fantastic! Glad you had such a great trip. And great to hear that the Monty came though as well!

See you on down the road.

Welcome home. And remember you have bragging rights to bring up Alaska and your 11,000 mile journey whenever you'd like!

Bill & Stacy,

Glad you arrived home safely. We are still in Alaska but, the nights when it doesn't rain are dropping into the 30s. We need to start thinking about heading south but, we are going kicking and screaming. We are both in denial that our summer in Alaska is coming to an end.
