Rhino roof.

Well I finally got my coach back with the new sprayed on rhino roof. Lifetime warranty and zero maintenance. I’m stoked !!

Looks like the color is weird but that’s because some of the roof is wet.

This was through insurance. But the cost was 9300 to include fixing a piece of radius.

Lmao they sure did !! About 8 months ago !! At least I didn’t hit anything it was air getting underneath.

Rv armor I believe is rolled on. Rv shield I think is sprayed. When I picked up my coach yesterday I asked about it. I guess this roof system was developed as a lifetime commercial roof, on commercial buildings. They contacted rhino and was able to adapt it to rv use. It’s not hard like a spray in liner this is more flexible. The good thing is lifetime warranty. No more sealing seams. They removed all the nails replaced all the wood and used screws. I also asked if there are other colors he states it only comes in this aluminum oxide color but it can be painted !! But I’m good with the color no maintenance!!

I also asked about weight he as a couple hundred pounds a bit heavier then the rubber roofs.

There's a FlexArmor main office near where I live in Jacksonville, FL. They're actually in Green Cove Springs about and hour away. I've really been leaning that way since they are somewhat local, and they remove everything from the roof, AC's, Vents, etc. and spray the coating on about 3/16" thick. It looks very similar to your pictures except I think there's is only white.

So following your post the $9300 included replacing all the wood as well as a piece of the radius?

The 9300 included the radius. And the wood prep. They had some trouble with adhesive and replaced the wood. That was additional. Insurance paid 1800 more. They stated whatever adhesive CW used it was not the correct adhesive.

I just today got my roof sprayed on. It is FlexArmor located in Prescott, AZ. The next nearest store is in Texas and many in the deep south. No others from Midwest to Pacific Ocean. Mine cost $189 per foot and they overlap front and back about 6 inches. My trailer is listed by Keystone as 37.5 ft. They measured the roof as 35.5, so total was around $6900 including a new King Air tv antennae installed. I pick it up tomorrow.

Only problem I can see is if you have to replace things like vents and bathroom skylight, you have to take it to them to work on ($500 minimum). The AC units can be lifted off, so that should cover most things.

You mention the sky light in the bathroom. What they did for me was to build up and elevate the skylight and use a motorhome mounted skylight one that can be easily replaced by me without messing up the coating. my unit is 41 feet, the place in Az never contacted me back for a quote....

Will any of these roof coating companies do the tops of the slides too? By the way, the roof looks great.

As I understand it, in order to do the slide tops, they would have to remove the slide completely. Also, it may add weight and thickness that interferes with the slide operating and sealing.
