Back Up Camera 2019 Chevy

I have a 2019 Chevy Silverado Duramax 2500HD Z71 that I pull my 2018 Montana HC 345RL with. When I was backing my camper into my driveway the backup camera in the truck came on along with the parking assist alarms. It was very distracting. I haven't had this issue in the past. I curious if anyone else experienced this problem and if so what was the corrective action. I do not have a camera on my fifth wheel. Thank you in advance.

A simple fix is to turn off the park assist, it will remain off till you turn it back on or you turn the truck off and then it will reset and be on again

I should have added that in my original post, cotter key. That is what I did this time.
