Selling RV

Hello RV, the wife and I are in the process of selling our unit. I am looking for any information on the best way to sell it, so I dont have it on the market forever. Right now, I have it advertised here, and a few websites, but I am just looking for some tips if anyone out there has them. I do already have it priced below book value as well. Thanks

Kozzy45: Jeanne has decided to sell our '03 2955RL. Getting too hard on us old farts to pack and move. Living in a townhouse complex and being unable to keep it here to show, and not being able to expand it as needed where we store it, we talked to a couple RV dealers near us. We've put it with one of them on a consignment basis. It seemed like a logical solution for us. If you can keep it home with you and/or have someone to show it whenever, then you could list it with "Auto trader" or "Highways" magazine or such. Just my thoughts. I have sold quite a few RVs privately over the last 30 years and Donna and I detail them first.
We look after our rigs and I do routine maintenance but when it comes times to sell them we work hard at making them spotless and I throw away the old sewer hose and buy a new one.
The holding tanks and toilet get a real going over and we get lot of compliments from the people that come and see our units..

I have better luck paying for an ad in the local paper than I have in the free buy and sell mags but I have sold stuff in them also. Good luck selling your rig.
