On our way

My wife and I are experienced travelers. I'm out of the country several months of the year and my wife was tired of home ownership upkeep. We found a beautiful, barely used 3791RD 5th wheel and it was love at first sight. We are from Indianapolis and she is still working full time (3 days at home and 2 in the office). I'm a building specialist, specializing in kitchen and bath remodeling. I have spent the last half decade helping rebuild hurricane damaged properties in the south and Kentucky. We are full time and expect to end up eventually in one of the Carolina's. We have been to all 50 states and nearly 50 countries. We pull with a 5th gen Ram 2500 4 door full bed gasser.

Welcome to the MOC family.

But prepare for comments about pulling that trailer with a 2500 gasser.

Wait, I thought the weight police were on the other site?

Much worse on that “other site”. But occasionally happens here also.

Heck, I think the fuel wallet police will get to him before the weight police.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on getting your new camper and your full timing life style.

I'm from Anderson, Indiana. I retired from a company located in Fishers and my wife is still working full time, but she is working from home-full time. We're doing our fair share of travel these days, taking advantage of every opportunity we have.

Just curious, where are you staying in Indianapolis? Which campground, park, or grandma's home?

You do know,...... that you are in the direct middle of that near perfect line to see the eclipse, being in Indianapolis? We are in a direct line between Indianapolis and Anderson (in the country), and our house is located right in the middle of that band also. We just hope it's a clear day!

Well, congrats again and enjoy that new camper. There's lots to see and do in Indiana. There really is more to do in Indiana than simply sit around and watch corn grow. You've just got to know where to go to do it!

Hopefully, you've discovered some of these hidden gems.

Happy camping!

Welcome to the site. Y’all enjoy your new camper / home. As far as your tow vehicle goes goes, work with what you’ve got. There’s lots of good info on here and very nice people.

My first tow vehicle was a Ram 2500. No trouble towing the load with some "Super Springs". Stopping was an adventure. We now have an F450, big difference and much safer tow. We're FT and will be in the Raleigh,NC area until the end of the year. Let us know if your in the area, we love meeting MOC members.

Upgrade the trailer to disk brake and you'll be fine!

Really

You guys don't know me yet. I researched the heck out of my truck before I got it. All the numbers work and I'm definitely not a newbie to towing trailers. I've spent most of my adult years towing something. ......and I can take a ribbing. Glad to be here.

We found a little campground in Chesterfield. Muncie rv. We are hosting at Mounds next month then back to Muncie rv. We will spend most of this year here then Houston for the winter. My wife works in Indy and would like to work another year before retirement. We are excited about the eclipse. Come on over if you want to see the campground.
