Low Water Pressure
Anyone have a solution for very low water pressure (hot or cold) at the kitchen sink?
We have good (not great) pressure at the bathroom sink and shower. The pressure at the kitchen sink is not even enough to hold the stream/spray switch in the spray position. I have puled the head apart and checked for blockage and cleaned the aerator screen; no change. As a test, I pulled the pressure regulator off the city water connection; no change. Maybe this park just has low water pressure, but my kitchen sink pressure has never been great.

We have the exact same problem. I have no idea what the cause is.

Clogged water filter/ screen at water inlet ? Some of the pumps have a screen bowl attached to them, maybe it is clogged. Just taking some shots in the dark here. You said you removed it, but I have seen faulty pressure reducers to the point no water would pass through them.

I seem to recall there is another screen filter at the connection to the fixture somewhere under the sink. A Search may uncover more detail.

Like Carl says, our old rig had two screens. One in the head and one where the fixture hooked onto the water line. I haven't looked at the new rig yet, but probably should.

Did you have a pressure problem at other locations or is this the only location you have used when hooking up to a city water supply?

A regulator and a water filter coupled with average or less water pressure at the faucet will result in very poor volume and or pressure. Those blue filters don't pass much water. When I am in a questionable pressure area I fill the fresh water tank and use the 12V pump along with the campground water hookup. It seems to help.

Ditto with Mark A, if after you remove all screens, orifice washers, etc from the fixtures and still experience low pressure

I have this same issue. RV tech said he fixed it but he didn’t. Put a new faucet (from Lowe’s) and it still does it.

You might check the actual cartridge in the faucet. Seems like all new kitchen faucets are "low flow" and have a restrictor installed in the cartridge. If you can find it and pop it out you will get full flow.
That is why the low flow is at only the one faucet in the kitchen. The low flow restrictor for the shower is in the shower head usually and in the aerator of the bathroom sink.

"They" being who? The tech who installed the one from Lowes? Keystone? I don't think it matters since it is the faucet mfg who installs the restrictor.
See: http://energy.ca.gov/2015publication...CMF-marked.pdf 1.8GPM maybe 2.2GPM if you're lucky.
As goes Kalifornia so goes the nation.......
I don't think anyone has a choice in whether you get a restrictor or not. Once it is yours you can do what you want.
Only in Kalifornia will the faucet police knock on your door and impound your faucet if you remove the restrictor. You will also get fined and some jail time. And your water will be turned off. You have been warned.

""
Section 1601. Scope. This Article applies to the following types of new appliances, if they are sold or offered for sale
in California, except those sold wholesale in California for final retail sale outside the state and
those designed and sold exclusively for use in recreational vehicles, or other mobile equipment.
Unless otherwise specified, E each provision applies only to units manufactured on or after the effective date of the provision."""
According to your link to the reference I think Section 1601. Scope excludes: New appliances ......those designed and sold exclusively for use in recreational vehicles........
I think this statement exempts RV's from having the requirement to have a restrictor installed.

Do you have the same problem when you run the water pump? does it get better or woris
if it gets better then you have a supply problem if it stays the same then you need to start looking at filter & screen problems or even the cartridge in the faucet or the water flow restrictor in the faucet. What is your water pressure regulator set at?

You're probably right...I was just trying to be funny with the comments about Kalifornia. I am a native here and the restrictions get worse every day.
As BuilderBob also said check the cartridge in the faucet and/or the flow restrictor in the faucet. If the faucet mellabella had installed by the tech was from Lowes it is a residential faucet and without a doubt has a low flow restrictor.

Mine does not change when the water pump is turned on. I will look at the faucet and see what the problem is. My regulator is fixed, not sure what it is, have to go look at it.

Ours has had the issue since day one and we normally keep our regulator set just under 50psi. It's only at the kitchen sink but I've not been able to get the spray fixture apart to check the screen.

Remove the hose from the pull out sprayer. Mine has the filter screen in the end of the handle and run the water to see if the pressure is good.
