Hmmm....I have two brand new Love's stations just built near me...might have to look into this also. Filling the 48 gallon tank on my new truck (old truck had 26 gallon) gets expensive..would be nice to get a discount.

Just did the math from the TSD site (they list all stations and prices)
452 Loves stations
Average price $260.23
Average discounted price $183.93
Average savings $.76
They do not list Pilot

Pump turned on with Pin # asked me a couple of questions and started fueling. Did not have to go inside or talk to anyone ( that was easy ). Pump price was 2.68/gal. Noted price on Mom and Pop station where I usally get Diesel was 2.67/gal. this day. After fueling this is what TSD did for me.
Transaction details from EFS App
Invoice 14734
Location Hagerstown, MD
Fees $0.40
Product Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel
Quantity 81.660
Unit price $1.933 / gal.
Sub Total $157.84
Discount Received $61.75
I have 20,437 miles om my truck to date
Ruffly 10 to 12 miles per/gal towing and not towing
Gallons burned to date 12 Divided into 20,400 = 1,700 gals used
Savings with card was $0.75.6 per gal. X 1,700 gals used to date
The savings could have been aproxmently $1,285 .20
Yep threw that much retirement money out in the streeet for someone to pick up.
Any body that dose not use this program is nuts. Also found out that the T/A Truck stops use the same card and discount but have not tried it there yet so don`t know for sure.
I don`t mind spending money I just can`t stand throwing it away (well buying a 41 ft. camper is an exception) I wish I would have found out about this earlier. <YMMV>

Don`t know what a tad card is. EFS is the program they use.

I don't like the requirement of S.S. number being given on the application. Routing number of checking account should be enough.

Midwest Kwik Trip is big.
The best place to get fuel around me locally is Kwik Trip.... do they accept the TSD fuel card. I know the pump asks a question about use of a fleet card...?

Simple answer then do not apply...
I was not asked for SS on the application only via phone once I was approved, secondly open a separate bank account if you are worried. TSD and EFS have been around along time and are are highly respected, do your homework and see for yourself. Let me ask you would a bank or company lending you $$$ ask for your SS? of course they would. This is a Debt card so there is a small level of credit here and liability on our credit worthiness also.

I poked around TSD's site, even looked at their site map, and couldn't find a map or locations of stops that offered a discount. Could someone please post a link to that info?

Their site clearly shows asking for a required S.S. card number. No, I won't be applying for their card if that is required. Credit card and checking account routing number should be enough. Too much information out there as it is, and too many compromised companies having their info hacked.

SS# and TSD
It's my understanding you are required to provide your SS#. I understand the reasoning for the requirement, but I am concerned about how they maintain security. Has TSD addressed this concern with any of the card holders?
Thanks in advance,
Paul

The Application has changed since I applied many months ago. However they are lending you $$$, how do they know you are real or how to find you if you defraud them. It is a two way street. It is not like SS numbers are secret these days. But to each their own some of us chose not to live in constant fear. I should also note EFS (a WEX company) who manages the Debit transactions is a huge financial company you should also do your homework on them.

I see where they ask on the application, but yes they got our SS #, but I sure don't remember having to give it out until the phone conversation , wondering if they have changed the application form .

I had to give it on the phone after I applied. If you apply for financing of any type, you normally have to give your SSN. Nothing new!

You are applying for credit, that requires a credit check and that requires an SSN. It's a simple process, don't need the savings, don't apply. Down to $1.85 today $.50 better than I can find locally.
