Window Screen

Anybody know where to look for a replacement screen for the big picture window. My lovely dog tore it down while we were out on a walk.

It would help alot if you listed your year and model number. Maybe someone could help you better!!! For example, I have a 3400 and there is no screen on the large picture window, it doesn't open.....

Are you asking about what I call the day/night window shades or do you want the small window screens at the bottom of the rear window?

Does it just need new screening material or is it a twisted pretzel.

It's a 2009 Mountaineer and the window opens on the bottom with a screen that goes across the full length. It is twisted and would be very difficult to straighten.

Ah, I think I have the same type of setup. I have a very large window at the back of the rig. But at the bottom there are two short, wide windows that crank open. Both window openings have frames that hold screen material in place. Is this what you are talking about? On my rig the screens are about 10" x 34" and have radius corners on the bottom outside corners. If so, then that would have had to be a big dog to reach that high or you might want to stop taking the dog for a walk inside the rig.

Other than contacting a dealer's parts counter to find a replacement (cha-ching!!!), maybe an internet search can locate a vendor. You'll need the exact dimension of the frame. I've seen replacement windows, but just the frame that holds the screen is probably a tougher search. Like was mentioned earlier if you can provide the model number of the 2009 Mountaineer it might be easier to provide what's needed and where to get it.

You might also be able to find an RV parts surplus supply store. I believe just about every picture window of this size uses the same size screens so their availability should cross all brands. Hopefully, someone can provide a source or name or link to make this search easier.

Please post your solution to pass it along! Thanks!

OK, I have a 2010 324RLQ and most likely the same screen. Here's the deal. If you look at the screen, it is nothing more than hardware store variety aluminum straight pieces. Take it apart and save the radius end pieces and the "L" and "T" shaped plastic end pieces. ACE hardware or similar store will have the straight aluminum sections. You can buy them and some screen material. That and a hacksaw, some .125 spline, and screen and you will be back in business. Alternately, you might be able to get them to do it for you if you bring the whole mess with you. It really is simple, I have done this for boats many times.

It is a 2006 not 2009, 328RLS. I will take another look at it and see what I can do with it. There are some sort of clips that hold the screen in, not sure how it works.
