What is this?
These go behind our J Wrap where the slides are on the non slide portion of the camper. I assume for support and to stop debris. Anyway I have no clue what to call them. They are abs plastic. Any thoughts?

We have owned 3 Montanas all bought new and have never seen anything like that and have never seen a Montana inside that looks like that in the picture. I'm at a loss and can't help but will be following to see if someone else can solve.

It looks like it could be the plastic thing that is on either side of the steps, attached to the J wrap.

I have one on my 2006. I had to remove it trying to locate a water leak. Like you I assume it was there to add support to the J wrap and to deflect debris.

It would be nice knowing what rig you have, but on our rig, I think this is what you are looking for.

J wrap is the formed metal (looks like a J) that is the lower section on your outside walls below the transition strip. It curls under the lower edges of the trailer.

On my 3711FL, those plastic end pieces close off the space behind the J wrap and define the compartment that holds sanitary hoses. I lost one in a blow out event and ended up making a replacement out of aluminum. It turned out pretty good and definitely an upgrade from the plastic. But, had I had the Trekwood link, I would have happily gone that route.

J-wrap
J-wrap is the piece of sheet metal along the bottom of the unit on both sides. The top of it fits into a black gasket and the bottom curves toward the underside and there are braces periodically (though not enough braces) to brace it vertically. The skirt is shaped like a “J”.

It looks like a drip tray from an RV refigerator.

It is defiantly the plugs that cap off the ends of the j wrap open ends. Like each side of the steps/ each side or a slide etc. There are 8 of them on my unit. Very loosely attached. I threatened many times to spray foam them in place, but have not done it yet.

I had one of them come loose or lost a couple of screws where my sewer hose and accessories are stored on my 2013 unit. The piece was just held on by the top screw/s. I solved that problem by taking some heavier zip ties and running them through the holes from the screws and cinching them up tight. No more problems or worries about the panel falling off while going down the beautiful roadways across our nation.
