What not to do
We have been leaving the Corian covers on the sink to provide extra counter space. Well yesterday evening we returned from an evening at Mickey's house to water running out the door. Seems one of our Furry Kids must have rubbed up against the handle and turned on the water. With the covers in place it just ran off the counter onto the floor and out the door. What a mess to clean up when you're tired and just want to go to sleep. Oh yes, none of the three will own up for the dirty deed. So if you leave four legged kids in the rig that are known to jump up on the counter, better make sure the covers are off.

I hope you sent them to bed early without their treats!
Hopefully it was just a mess with no damage.

We always shut the water off outside when we leave the monty. We have seen what happens when a pipe breaks and the owner is away.

I use one of these:
http://www.amazon.com/Orbit-58248-Ga...f=pd_sim_ol_26
1 connector for the black flush, the other for camper water. When we leave the camper, I always turn the lever off so no water is supplied to the camper.
this also makes it easier to flush the black tank.

Bought a quarter turn shut off today. Funny, we always make sure the water pump is off when boondocking or on the road, but never thought about it when connected to shore water. Live and learn.
