RVMP generator install 2022 3231CK
I was wondering if anyone out there has installed an RVMP generator in a gen prepped Montana. I have a 2022 3231CK Legacy. I recently bought an RVMP 5500i dual fuel gen and could use some guidance on installation, Thanks.

This looks like a very nice generator. Onan has competition and that’s a good thing for us. I noticed the 4000 watt is much quieter than the Onan.

Wow an Onan option. Looks nice. As long as you're gen prepped should be plug and play. As far as installation, You just have to plumb and connect you LPG line. Connect the output to the transfer switch box in the pass through and port the exhaust. The only issue you might have is the compatibility of the remote start/stop switch. Still researching that.
It appears to be compatible.

Yeah, its a couple thousand cheaper than an Onan, smaller and uses less fuel. They sent me a pigtail that plugs right in. The problem I'm having is installing the bracket. It is configured to hang but that's not possible due to the installed enclosure so I'm not sure how to install it upside down. I thought maybe someone on the forum had dealt with this particular generator and bracket.

Odd, I must be looking at something else. The 5500 I'm seeing is configured just like the Onan. And as far as the price? What am I missing?

These look like a great RV generator. They have less Total Harmonic Distortion 16% V <3% weight less and less noise 90DB V 50DB. It looks like they are inverter generator. They run at 2600 to 3600 RPM.
I wish I had one on my motor home. My Onan is broken for the second time in 70 hours. I replaced it with a 5000 watt Predator from Harbor Freight.

You will have to remove the correct panels in the floor for the Air Intake and the exhaust. Even the pic of the inside look almost identical to the Onan.

I wonder if it is the same Chinese company that makes these "twins" (that really are not twins in every way)

I don’t know but I don’t really think so. Their inverter generators show no family resemblance to those generators but they are definitely made in China. I don’t like buying from China but I don’t know how to get around it.

I'm with you. The only way around is to buy US made products that cost twice as much. That's part of the plan. To make us dependent on them. Even though Onan is made in Minneapolis I'd bet most of the components are from China.
Westinghouse is made in China or Vietnam.

I heard of a machine shop that was making bolts for a customer. They came to him and said he needed to reduce his price by 90% or they would buy from China. Of course he couldn’t do that. Being in the machine shop business I see stuff all the time being sold retail for less than I can buy the materials for.
Like Milton Freeman said they will get tired of working for nothing.

I wanted to follow up to see how your install is going with the RVMP generator. I'm in the market too and was considering this one.
