generac product

Any thoughts on Generac 2000 watt generators. Yes I know honda is top of the line but I won't be using them alot. I want to hook 2 together and also want to know if they will run a 15000 btu ac. Thanks, Brent

Generac is a trusted name in generators. My brother installed a 20 KW 4 years ago for is emergency power. Not one problem with it.
Yes 4000 watts will run 15000 BTU AC.

Don't forget that 2000w gen is the max startup, not running wattage. Most will be 1600w steady state power available...will do 15kbtu ac. John

Unless they have changed their design in the last few years, they are noisy. Hopefully that has been addressed.

Noise has been addressed. Ther are about as quiet as the Hondas.

One thing to keep in mind is that when you're ganging two together, you'll get twice the noise. A single 'quiet' generator putting out a steady 3kw+ will be quieter than two smaller ones.

That is correct. Even the 2000 watt Hondas are louder than the 3000 watt then when you hook 2 together they get very loud and for each 6 decibels you go up sound pressure doubles.
