shore power plug modification
We have a 2003 Monty 2955 (30 amp version). I notice that the AC usually drips water down on the shore power plug on the left side.
The connector plug on the Montana is a male connector and has external threads. I have seen what I believe is a connector called the marine type that has a screw on connector cover.
Anyone understand what I am trying to describe and know where I can get this type connector?

I'm not sure of what you are describing but I've paged through several maring catalogs and it seems a good bet that you might find what you're looking for by going to a local marine store. They usually carry a good supply of spare parts.

illapah,
You can find those things at CW and or a marine supply store. I believe there was a thread on here about some mods that folks have made to help keep the water off of the plug. You might try doing a search and see if you come up with anything.

I got mine from CW, also it was on the 50 to 30 amp power line conversion.

My Montana the connection is in the back right in the middle.I have that connector you are talking about. It has a big yellow plug that screws into the back.Mine is 50 amp.At any boat or marine shop you can purchase this type of connector.

You can try westmarine.com they will have what you need and in marine grade. It might cost a bit more. You might also check out mcmasters.com go to page 705 and look.

Illapah, until you find that new plug, does the water drain from the roof into the gutter and then drip from the end of the gutter onto the plug? If so you might try a clothespin on the end of the gutter to direct the water away from the plug. If that's not quite enough, attaching a string or even a second clothespin to the first might help.
we have the plug with threads but ours is for attaching a 30 amp cord to the 50 amp service outlet on our Montana. Ours came from Camping World. The marine stores suggested should have what you want.
