Winterizing Residential Frig Ice Maker

We have a new 3721RL with the large residential Samsung refrigerator with icemaker. In my past trailer I also had a residential frig w/ice maker. During the winter months in MS temps can sometimes get down into the teens. I normally winterize the RV, drain water, blow out lines, etc. but seem to always end up with a ice maker solenoid frozen issue even when I put a light bulb behind the frig trying to prevent the solenoid freezing.

This new Samsung isn't on wheels and looks to be an issue if I had to pull it out thus I am looking for any good ideas for ensuring I don't have a frozen solenoid this winter. Naturally I could run a small heater in the area but really would prefer not to.

Any good ideas on winterizing the frig in the Montana?

Winter is just around the bend even though it is still in the high 80s down South.

Thanks,

There is a flex supply line under the slide going to fridge. Disconnect it and shut off the water supply(not sure about location on your unit) . Then pump pink stuff thru as usual and thru the fridge supply. Leave ice maker on with line disconnected and run till what’s in line is gone.
I left mine disconnected till spring with no problem.

Having the residential unit in our also, it came from the factory new in Feb. with pink antifreeze in the ice maker. I was told to cycle the ice maker with antifreeze until it comes out pink and will be slushy.

Will let you know in springtime how it worked out for us,lol. HOPEFULLY no issues!!!!
