Changing Galley Sinks

We have 2013 3402RL. It came with white sinks. Is it possible to change to stainless steel sinks? I do think some 3402RL came with stainless. I would check with dealer if we can order stainless sinks the same configuration as white. How hard would it be to take counter top off? Thanks Marty

Unless it's a drop-in sink ... rimless attach from the bottom. Swap can be done without prying off the counter top.

How hard depends on countertop config. Should be held by silicone only in dabs here and there. Measure current cutout in countertop, go to lowes or home depot, etc and see if there is an undermount stainless sink whose opening fits. May have to order one. Caution...countertops are only half inch thick. Best way to separate from cabinets is piano wire with a sawing action. Bed the sink flange in lots of silicone when installing, prop up in place and let it dry, then attach clips. John

When we had our 2012 3402RL that was going to be our plan to switch out to a newer Stainless 3402RL sink as they are the same exact shape but then we said the heck with it and just bought a new Monty ,Probably would have been cheaper just to change sinks HUH????

On ours, and I'm pretty sure on yours, the sink and the counters are Corian, and are probably bonded with the permanent adhesive used to bond sections of countertop together. If that is the case, you will probably destroy the top trying to remove the sink, and most likely the cabinet too. Good luck.

Our 2012 has had the sink replaced twice. There is caulking around the top edge. They must not have been permanently attached as we still have the same counter top (there is a chip which drives me nuts).
