Weight in? (Chev/GMC)
Recent comments in this forum has got me wondering about TV real world weights;
So I thought I would start a Silverado/GMC TV weight thread. Others may wish to start one for Doge and Ford products.
Our TV is 2008 3500HD LTZ, 4wd, long box, no sunroof, DRW, CC, D/A, 56g fuel tank, Trailersaver DB3 hitch, low profile truck bed box with Honda 2000, some tools etc. With a full fuel tank, 2 people, lunch and water and the usual gear we have on board when towing we are about 8650 lbs.
GVWR = 11,400 if memory serves
Throw up your numbers Chevy/GMC owners. . . . .
This is not right or wrong discussion, just asking about the real world weight of your GM TV.
-Steve
Edited to include GMC's, more truck details.

This is probably not the right answer, but I have never weighed TV, never weighed rig, never weighed anything. Truck is eight years old, pulling it's third Montana, and has never presented any kind of problem in it's first 60,000 miles. It has pulled all three rigs up Fancy Gap on Northbound I-77 at the NC/VA line at 70 mph without a hiccup. I am happy with it!

Same as Bingo. Haven't weighed anything, ever. I'd kind of like to know where I am, but I'm confident that I'm not pushing limits in any category. Maybe when we (finally) go full-time, or at least long-time, I'll get some numbers, but right now, it's not a concern.

Don't know if it's still true now, but when I got my dually, Ford's were lots heavier than GMs. Ford like to tout their high GVWR, but after researching the issue, I found it was all in truck weight, no extra carrying capacity..

Just took our new 2015 GMC K3500, SRW, D/A, 4X4, double cab, long box with hitch, two people, and full tank of fuel across the scales.
Front axle was at 4850. Rear axle was at 3400. Total weight is 8250. GVWR is 11,600.
