Hitch Safety Pin

I just added one of Butches Hitch Pin Latches. Feel a lot more secure now and no more worries of caving in my bed sides!

Looks good! Had ours for a couple of years now. Darn cheap insurance.

I opted fior the BlueOx bed saver because it is (passive). I feel this type of a safety system is there to safe guard when one forgets or is distracted to close the hitch. The only reason the 5er would come loose fron the TV is if the hitch is not locked or someone was to mess with it while I was stoped at a store or restaurant. I think that it is just one more thing I have to remember to do when hitching up. The one time I almost dropped the 5er was when I was hurring to move it so the my contractor could start building a cover for the rig. What with the contractor, his crew and several friends all talking and trying to help I forgot to close the hitch. Jumped in the truck and started to pull out the 5er dropped into the BlueOx with a bang. I learned several lessons one PASSIVE is best and second don't let people infulance how you hook up your rig. JMHO
