Peace, brotha'

After the difficult election, and with Christmas coming up, maybe some reflection on the kindship and commonality we have here on the MOC.
One of my favorite quotes from a wise man:
We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic cords of memory will swell when again touched as surely they will be by the better angels of our nature. ~ Abraham Lincoln
Go forth and smile folks!
Dr Ozz...

I'd rather have a drink (or 2) with a friend than dwell on politics. Have a great Christmas &New Year!!!

Let's take the ultiimate step. Let's bring this great nation back to it's fullest not by breaking ourselves up into separate groups with so many different agenda's, but by coming together as one and for one common goal-that being that we can all live together under one flag. There are so many different places that we have come from, but we are forgetting that once settled here, we are Americans-no matter what place we, our parents or their parents before them came from. It pains me when a sub-culture seeks special treatment because of ancestry. We are ALL Americans. Let's come together.

you are right OZZ, whatever the election was or whatever is going on between people, hate and fighting won't make it better. We all should be above that.

Being a retired politician and history teacher specializing in the Civil War let me tell you Lincoln had some of the best advise for his and our time. As they say he could tell you to go to h*ll and you would thank him for sending you on a trip.

Good job bring this up Ozz. Lets all have a hand shake, share a beer and a campfire and never forget to be open enough to actually listen and try to understand others.

As I grew up in the 60's my grandparents must have surely thought the world was ending with Rock & Roll. Each year I find it harder and harder to understand the thinking of our next generation. As the last election has shown the people nowadays don't mind high debt and goverment assistance. I am resigned to the fact that I am now in the minority. I will not dwell on the subject and be happy and friendly to all. Hopefully the MOC Rallies will bring us some sanity. May everyone have a happy holiday season and a safe and happy New Year. I'm wondering if you'll be at Quartzite to share your wisdom & humor and with us Ozz? I sure hope so cause I've never met an HVAC guy with such a balanced approach to life and I'm looking forward to the opportunity to meet you in the flesh!

Yes, tough election but you are right! now is the time to take a deep breath, exhale and start to work even harder to make things right in this Great Nation! Many thought we would never survive the Civil War and look where we are...

We are just about 60 miles away here in Tonopah, but are settled in, so we won't move the Monte, but Sue and I plan on visiting a couple of times. I will be an honor to 'Enter the circle'
I will try and get there when folks are around. We stopped last year and Met Dennis and a few other folks, but no else was around.
I'll give everone fair warning so they can go into town...

"The American dream is as old as our founding, but as timeless as our hopes. It is reborn every day in the heart of every child who wakes up in a land of limitless possibilities, in a country where "we, the people" means all the people. We may come from different places and believe different things, but what makes us American is a shared spirit; a spirit of courage and determination; of kindness and generosity. It is a spirit grounded in the wisdom of the generations that have gone before us, but open to the unimagined discoveries and possibilities on the horizon that lies ahead. Let us enjoy it, cherish it, defend it, and pass it on to our children as the bright and beautiful blessing it is: this enduring American dream."
