Didn't think he would be able to handle the scandal.

Spent 4 years of my life in State College at Penn State. Held season tickets and made virtually every home game and some away games for 25 seasons. Spent many of my New Years in a sunny climate with other Penn States cheering at the bowl game.
What the Penn State Board of Directors did to Joe by firing him over the telephone and making him the scapegoat was a despicable act of cowardice. His legacy will live on in the many people he touched during his career.
RIP Joe.

When they took football away they took his reason to live. Very sad and very unfair.

A very sad ending to a really great man`s life. His legacy will live forever as well as the memories. Thanks JoPa for the many years of great Penn State Football.

I am with DQ Dick. You take away a man's dream he may be walking around but he is dead.
