thank you all for posting those horrible stories about your 5th wheel coming off your hitch i can't imagine how horrible of an experience that was but thankls to you all i just ordered blue ox hitch saver it will make me feel a lot safer

After the surge protector for the Montan the first thing I added to the TV was a Bed Saver. Another piece of mind. I also "tested" it out. It does the job. My $.02

You will like the Blue Ox. It's a passive system, meaning it's always there. The Butch is a good idea, but if you remove it before releasing the hitch, you could have a problem should the trailer roll back or the truck roll forward for any reason. With the Blue Ox, it won't matter and it's idiot proof, which is what some of us idiots need.
