Furnace fan running after unplugging with ac on

Maybe this is normal? I discovered that if I unplug from shore power with the air conditioner switch set to ON at the thermostat (unit not blowing because it the temp is below the set point) that the furnace blower comes on.

I only discovered this because after we broke camp, when we got to the dump station, from the outside at the convenience center, it sounded like a fan running inside the furnace. I went inside, flipped the switched to OFF on the thermostat and the blower turned off.

Since the furnace can run off DC power, is this normal operation? When the thermostat lost AC power it looked to DC and turned on the furnace blower?

The furnace runs on 12V and so does your thermostat. It just hits a relay that turns on your AC. So the inside temp probably simply dropped below the set point and called for heat. As it should have

Frequently when folks have the furnace fan set on anything but auto, the AC fans will also run. Maybe something is reversed in your wiring.

I don't know what was going on. We have one digital themostat that runs both AC and furnace. You push the button to select cool, heat, or fan. The thermostat was turn on (the switch on the bottom of it). It was set on Cool, but the AC was not running because the temperature hadn't reached the set point on the AC. I think it was set to come on and start cooling at 78.

Anyway, two times now, I'm unplugged from shore power with it in this condition. Then I go out to the convenience center and hear the furnace blower running. Then I go inside and turn off the thermostat and the blower stops.

Be thankful you don't have the junk thermostats like they are putting on the Montana now. I wish we had the system like our 2012 unit had again. 2 AC units with one thermostat worked perfectly for 6 years full time use.
