After 10 years the landing gear broke. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that the landing gear was not evenly extended as they always are.
So yesterday I took a look. I first hitched it to the truck and that was the last little life the legs had.
I took a peek inside. The cross-shaft that connects to to legs had broken the shear pin on the motor (or lead) leg. This should be easy to fix. Bwahahaha!
It turns out the jack screw in the lead leg failed the last time I unhitched the trailer. This caused the follow leg to support the weight as I raised the trailer off the hitch. Something had to give and it was the shear pin on the lead side that did.
The legs are actually pretty easy to remove through the LP storage bays. The follow leg is harder as I have to cut an access door in the generator compartment to access the shear pin.
Here is a gentleman that had a similar failure and his story

I thank him for locating all the parts and providing links. I have new new legs arriving on Monday. Till then the truck is captive holding up the fiver.
