Hello from Springfield, IL

Hi all, I just joined the forum yesterday even though the DW and I have been proud Montana owners since August last year. We have a 2016 Montana 3711FL pulled by 2004 Ram 3500 with 65,000 miles. This is the first 5th wheel we've ever owned or pulled so it's been a learning experience, but so far we've had the pleasure of camping in Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, and Michigan. Our camping season here in central Illinois will be ending during late October so the next few excursions will be somewhat close to home. Anyway, we're happy to be able to communicate with other proud Montana owners.

Welcome! We started our Montana experience in Peoria, just north of you. We ended up owning two different models and were full time for awhile. Traded high property taxes for low property taxes in Florida and now part time in SOB MH. Visiting the corn fields now but heading south soon. Have fun with your rig, you picked a good one!

Thanks Larry for the welcome, hopefully in a couple of years I can talk the wife into traveling to NC. I think next year we're going to set our sites on Rapid City, SD over a 2 week excursion, but I'll need advice from fellow Montana owners about to pulling through mtns. The forum is great, I wish I would have joined sooner, although, I've been searching various topics checking past posts.
