We took delivery Wednesday May 26th. Our appointment was at 10:00 to do the PDI and everything went ok. The process took about 4 hours, which I had expected anyway. We arrived at home about 3pm to load her up and of course all the neighbors stopped by to check it out. We didn’t make much progress Wednesday loading all our stuff but we got almost everything situated on Thursday.

Friday we headed out to Virginia Beach. I stayed on the main roads and arrived in about 3 hours. Virginia route 64 was very bouncy. I was concerned about the washer / dryer shifting with the way the trailer was being bounced around. When we arrived I checked the washer / dryer and it had shifted but just slightly. However on the return trip it moved significantly more. I’m working on a way to secure it before the next trip.

Due to the bouncing, all the clothes hung on the clothes rod jumped off and landed on the floor of the closet. BillyRay has suggested turning the hangers around, (hang from the back side), to correct the problem, so I’ll try that on the next trip.

The tub / shower leaked slightly. I took the panel off the front of the tub and found that the faucet’s gasket doesn’t seal properly to the tub. A quick fix is to caulk around the faucet with clear silicone. I plan to do that this weekend.

The table was about an inch too close to the window in the dining room slide. I unscrewed it and moved it then re-screwed it. Now you can pull the shades down all the way.

The worst thing was the new Webber Q grill we just purchased. It worked fine the first night when I cooked hot dogs. Saturday night we had filet minion and lobster tails. The burner would only light about half way around and was putting out a yellow / orange flame. The flame adjustment wouldn’t work right either. I gathered that the pressure regulator gave out from the way it was working so we did get to have the dinner but it didn’t cook like I had wanted it to.

With the worst thing being the grill I have to say the maiden voyage went better than expected especially given the time frame we had to load it up and check it out.

I’ll be posting my improvements in the upcoming weeks. First thing is to secure the washer / dryer.

Happy Camping
Bill
