2955 TV Booster
Picked up our 2005 2955 Saturday. We love it. Only a few problems so far..no harp on the lamp so we couldn't put the lampshade on. Dealer will easily take care of that. We can't find the antenna booster switch anywhere. Can anyone give me a hint where it is? Also, we are not getting any radio stations...is there a radio antenna or are we doing something wrong there too? I have been reading here since we ordered in February and had alot of great hints for when we finally got our Montana. Thanks

If it's like our old 3280, look in the cabinets below the tv/entertainment center at the back. If it's like our new 5er, and you have a tv in the bedroom, look in the front bedroom closet on the right hand wall. Can't recommend any other places to look.

Pam, On our '03 2955RL the booster switch is in the computer compartment by the 12V cig lighter outlet. A green LED there comes on when it is turned on.
I strung a connection from that switch to an area just above the monitor panel at the kitchen sink and added a LED there too.
So that is the one we use to control it - except that the one in the computer compartment must be OUT when we are hooked to cable.
(The reason I added the other switch was that we would forget to turn it off sometimes when we stored the trailer and it was a draw on the battery - Also had to run the slide back out to get at it)
Isn't this fun??
Our radio antenna was in a wad behind the Sanyo radio. The radio is held in with screws you access in the cabinets on both sides. I stretched our antenna out into the cabinet. Helped some.

It took me a while to find the booster switch too. Ours is in the bedroom tv cabinet, right next to the electrical outlet, it is kind of hid, but when you turn it on it displays a light. One thing if you are hooked to cable or satellite, you need to turn the booster off. It sure makes a difference when you only have antenna, also as we travel to different areas, I usually reset the TV to whatever access I have, that way I can program all the channels that are available.

Pisngo, For the radio I added a spliter from the TV antenna and pluged it into the radio so I am using the TV antenna for my radio, great reception.

on our 2955RL it is in the second cabinet down from the tv in the bedroom. The tech we had hooked up our tv surround sound attenna so I am no help there. Your dealer could tell you though or someone on the forum might be able to. Congratulations on your new Montana 2955RL! We really like ours!

Why does not the person who does the walk through tell folks where this stuff is???? I had to find several things on my own. Good luck and congrats.

Dick and Toni, I think we all wish the walkthru people would do a better job. I don't know for sure but I'd bet they don't even know half these things. I doubt they get much training but are probably just told to go look at the rig and prepare to do a walkthru. Just my guess but I'd put money on that.
