Borax = Calgon?

Are 20 Mule Team Borax and Calgon Water softener about the same?

I never heard of the Borax You mention but I can tell You the Calgon works. I filled and flushed my black tank a few times and it still read full. I added Calgon and filled the tank to the bottom of the toilet valve. I let it sit a few days and was amazed at the "stuff" that came out of a flushed clean tank. Now it only reads 1/3 so it is better. I am going to add the Calgon to my next black tank and see if it stays clean.

almost they do the same thing make your water soft but the price of the 20 mules is conciderably cheaper. ( going to use it in your holding tanks I bet)

TT2

PS. Use the Boraxo in the green box.
